Live shrimp is probably your best bet. Get somebody who looks like they know what they are doing at the bait shop to show you how to rig one up.

Try to plan to be casting around 6 pm. That's when the next tide will start to come in today at Galveston.

I saw a guy catch a blowfish in Tampa. He threw it back in, and caught another one immediately after. It was pretty cool.

Anyone else using a JetBoil ? I've had mine for about 5 years, and I absolutely love it. Standard item in my pack.
What I love about it is that I can have coffee, soup or tea in just a few minutes. When it's cold and it sucks, it's a no hassle way to get a hot beverage fast. For general cooking, not a bad tool either but has some limitations.

I owned one for prepping for a long time but never used it. Personally, I gravitated towards little wood stoves as they are lighter and fuel never runs out. You can also put a little alcohol burner inside the wood stove in case everything is wet and shitty and you want a shortcut.
