They are making Top Gun 2.

I guess Tom Cruise is going to be flying on a F-35? That would be the politically correct aircraft. And naturally at least one of his fellow pilots is a woman.

I expect it to suck. Hollywood movies suck right now.

I don't think being un pc is a guaranteed for great cinema but their biggest movies kinda feel all the same.

Worse than that, they're all the same 3-4 stories, recycled in a different setting. I have zero interest in yet another pointless Hero's Journey with some pre-teen that the world depends on because he has feelings.

Some of the big 5 studios still finance more interesting stuff. But way less than they used to.
