They are making Top Gun 2.

I guess Tom Cruise is going to be flying on a F-35? That would be the politically correct aircraft. And naturally at least one of his fellow pilots is a woman.
I expect it to suck. Hollywood movies suck right now.

At least Tom Cruise is actually old enough to be a fighter pilot now
Why do you think they suck?
Hollywood has been turning out dry, sanitized, predictable drivel for 20 years. Pulp Fiction started a nice little renaissance, but it died. Now we have a few more Tarantino films, and everything else is PC.

I don't think being un pc is a guaranteed for great cinema but their biggest movies kinda feel all the same.

Worse than that, they're all the same 3-4 stories, recycled in a different setting. I have zero interest in yet another pointless Hero's Journey with some pre-teen that the world depends on because he has feelings.

Some of the big 5 studios still finance more interesting stuff. But way less than they used to.

I can quote the Good Dinosaur better than Star Wars now.

Tarantino sucks balls. Hateful eight was his only good movie post 1997, and tbh even dogs and fiction are overrated.

Also at first glance, Tarantino seems un PC but his movies as of late are actually reassuring morality fairy tales. Whoa what if some jews killed hitler? What if slaves got revenge on their masters?
What an edgy idea! How is that challenging Politcal correctness?

Tarantino is pretty awesome when you are 13, but his movies do not age well at all. His later stuff is sickeningly self indulgent and overly long.
