Jones is arguing against his own lawyers, in a custody battle for his kids. I, personally, think he's acting, but he seems willing to lose his kids by arguing that, no, he's not acting, he really is that guy that he portrays. Maybe he doesn't want his kids?
He is trying to walk a very fine line:
"I really believe everything I say on the show, but the person yelling about it like a lunatic is a character I play to get the message across."
I mean, to his credit, it is probably basically the truth, but I don't know if the court will really see the distinction.
