April 6 marks the 100th anniversary of the United States’ entry into World War I, as well as the culmination of a massive digitization project from the National Archives. Through a generous donation made by an anonymous donor, the National Archives was able to digitize over 110,000 photographs and nearly 300 reels of film related to the “Great War.”

I did. I learned quite a bit about the domestic impacts of the war that I was unaware of. Interesting, as always, how quickly we trash those noble ideals when they're inconvenient to war.

Ah, the domestic impacts of war--how women, children, and minorities were so badly affected.

More about the censorship, and mass arrests of anyone not cheering loudly enough. I used to wonder how they got everyone so deeply on board with the idea. Turns out, a good chunk of it was Kim Jong Un-style oppression behind the scenes. Makes more sense to me now.

Was Dan in all three parts or what specific parts was he in? That's cool he was involved.

They probably stressed that Woody was a democrat, that the senate was democrat, that the house of representatives was a democrat coalition and that the then powerful KKK was democrat, too--how nobody wanted to go to war until the left leaning media talked them into it and something about republicans being bad.
Defund PBS now!
