Re: USA vs. Canada
Oh man I can't wait for Smitty to join in on this thread.
Anyway, in a war that is in a total vacuum, it's an American victory. Obviously wars aren't fought in vacuums and Americans aren't robots. I don't see this war going well on the public front, especially if weapons to utterly destroy any form of resistance are used. If those weapons are used, not only is public opinion going to call for an impeachment, but the international community is going to embargo the US and both leave the war as losers.

Re: USA vs. Canada
Reviving this wonderful thread...
Seems ridiculous but my instinctual response was to imagine Canada becoming a domestic representation of the left-wing segment of the U.S. population, while America ("patriotic" right-wing America) moves further to the right. Obviously a mass resettlement to Canada is totally implausible plausible but I can imagine an ideological cold war of sorts between America and Canada and the liberal U.S. adherence to and promotion of Canadian values. I mean, Canada already serves as a bit of a rallying point for the left here.

Re: USA vs. Canada
Canada is not dissimilar to the United States, in that the left is all cocentrated in the major urban centres, namely Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa, outside the urban centers, lies the Canadian Red State, which in Canada, is the Blue State, as Blue is the colour of the right in British North America, and that includes the Quebec nationalists of the Parti Quebecois, which rules Quebec outside of Montreal. Canadian Fly Over Country is in the West, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northern Ontario.
From the Pembroke Ontario's to the Red Deer Alberta's, you'll find plenty of Canadian Rednecks ready to hang the lefties from the lampposts, with only Her Majesty the Queen standing in the way.
It is only we on the right here, who uphold the Monarchy, and in doing so are forced to abide the Laurentian Elites, were the Crown to fall in British North America, all bets are off, and all heck would break loose in the wake of it.

Yeah, I suppose that was a pretty broad brush I used in making that argument.Smitty-48 wrote:Canada is not dissimilar to the United States, in that the left is all cocentrated in the major urban centres, namely Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa, outside the urban centers, lies the Canadian Red State, which in Canada, is the Blue State, as Blue is the colour of the right in British North America, and that includes the Quebec nationalists of the Parti Quebecois, which rules Quebec outside of Montreal.
