If the USA and Canada, hypothetically, goes to war with each other:
1. Who would win?
2. Why would they go to war with each other?
3. What would be the lasting results of this hypothetically war?

Re: USA vs. Canada
I think its obvious who would win, its just whether we would fart around with "nation-building" afterwards or actually occupy.
The only real reason I could see for war would be that the US needs to expand its territory a la the Mexican-American War and Manifest Destiny
The lasting results would be MAGA

I'm sure Her Majesty would rally the Commonwealth to come to the aid of the Dominions, so you might get a war of hours rather than minutes. Hurry up with those carrier F35s you owe us!
In fact if we send in the Ghurkas first you might just surrender.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Re: USA vs. Canada
Canadians would revert to an insurgency, and Americans would give up and withdraw in about ten years.
If it's a war over some external objective, like access to the Arctic sea lanes when they emerge, then America would easily win and secure access.
The only real way to truly occupy a nation of people at this point in history is to all but exterminate them.

Is this Smitty bait?
Maybe more fun is comparing the US and Canada on different dimensions...
How did we become who we are?
What are the key differences historically?
Why didn't Canada join the Americans in Rebelling against the Brits?
Probably the best place to start is with Anglo - French - Native relationships...

America is the torso, Canada is the hat, and Mexico is well Mexico.
