Russia advances are now being measured in kilometers. Still no rabid breakouts, but significant gains in this war. Russia is about to take the first suburb of Karkiv. It's reported that the Russians just walked in. They've developed a new tactic, they surround a Ukrainian element, but do not attack. They give them the option to surrender, and it's working. Conscripts don't want to die for globohomos. Reports now of Ukraine sending police and military cadets to the front.

There were supposed to be concrete reinforced defenses built around Karkiv in the last 18 months. The Russian army was far enough away, it could have been done, but it wasn't. Why, corruption. The contracts were given, the money paid out, little or nothing was built. It is estimated 40% to 70% of every dollar spent in Ukraine is stolen.


In a related theatre, shades of color revolution kicked up in the nation of Georgia. The reason, there is a NGO transparency act up for a vote in Georgia. NGOs are the primary tool of the globohomos for everything from illegal immigration to color revolutions.

The recent advances on the new front in the north are going at a min impact if not cut off supply to troops in the east.

Ukraine is dying the death of a thousand cuts, and shows no signs of being able to stop Russias broad, front wide, slow methodical advance.

Ukraine now saying they committed all their reserve forces, everything and everyone is in the fight.

Battle tactics and strategy are changing in 21st c warfare. Gone is concentration of forces, create a breech and drive into enemy territory. Technology has made that too costly.


Now, small units with pressure across a wide front appears to be the future. Make the defender cover a wide area and distribute assets.

Any formal peace settlement at this point would provide legitimacy for Russian land gains. The U.S. would rather Ukraine be crushed so that an insurgence can be started and promoted as the patriotic thing to do; the goal being to push Russia out, as long as it takes; decades even.

The ironic thing is that this is the Palestinian tactic.

I can't argue against that Marty. In fact it was a leading theory in the first couple weeks of the war that the west wanted Russia to occupy Ukraine to bog them down in a long insurgency.

My best guess at this point is that Russia doesn't want Western Ukraine, historic Galicia. They just want the Russian speaking lands and a land bridge to the west so they can build pipelines to sell petro.

We may have another year or so of this war. But I don't believe it will go on past 2026 without a serious commitment of troops from the West.
