I've seen plans for a new canal from the Red Sea that would empty into the Med at Gaza. The planned canal would handle 3 ships wide, instead of one like the Suez. This would put Israel in control of sea trade with the East.

Scott Adams says he 100% backs Israel; that it’s not genocide, and even if it was, it’s justified. I’d be okay with that position, I’m not a moralist, but leave the U.S. out of it! If Israel wants to genocide let them, and let them deal with the consequences too.
