Xi is not the CCP, he is just currently the leader of the most powerful faction within the CCP.

The same thing... if you can't get the 2nd most powerful entity to make changes, and when SHTF is there, do you really think it's going to fix it when the 1st most powerful is dethroned?

Are the Republicans able to make changes happen in California? They are the second most powerful entity in California, yet they had no power to overrule the Democrat's lockdowns or vaccine mandates in the state. How is a subordinate supposed to overrule a superior?

What if we put a tarrif on Chinese-made goods at the same percentage of differential of market coverage allowed in each country...

Last time I checked the US was allowed something like 10%

We know what China is allowed here...

What if my aunt had balls. What if China just stopped sending us stuff? Who would starve out first is the real question.

Well, Walmart would be mostly empty. We’d have plenty of food, but people would have to learn to cook again.

Are you talking literal starve, or figuratively? If literal it would be China, we produce enough food to feed all of the US and more, China does not.

This.

We would starve half the globe if we didn’t export so much food.
