I know the article says January, but there are a lot of program that were expanded under the emergency when it was declared back in January of 2020. Things like Medicaid and expanded food benefit programs at the state level remain at those expanded levels because of this.

Not really surprising that we are now in a permanent state of emergency. Those couldn't have hurt Democrats when bribing for votes either.
