I was more taken by the concept than critical. He mentioned 3 or 4 examples but that’s not enough.

My son’s wife is the enemy. I explained it to him as: if a rocket blew up trying to go to Mars, our side would still admire the attempt, but her side would deride it as dangerous & a lost opportunity for social spending; while light-rail being a financial flop disgusts us as wasteful & authoritarian, her side wouldn’t care in the slightest. There really is little overlap; we need to be at least 2 nations.

We need a second Capitol, allowing states to come & go in the 2 unions. People would have to physically move but that’s how the original U.S. was built.

I agree with that. Red voters in Blue States moved to Red States over the last two years. End result is Red States becoming more Red and Blue States becoming more Blue and the extinction of Purple States. The end result is a Civil War but the question that remains is what will that look like? This ain’t the 1860’s.

I agree with that. Red voters in Blue States moved to Red States over the last two years. End result is Red States becoming more Red and Blue States becoming more Blue and the extinction of Purple States. The end result is a Civil War but the question that remains is what will that look like? This ain’t the 1860’s.
