MAGA isn’t Republican, it’s just the only opposition that can fight back. Establishment Republicans are almost as bad as Dems, and NeoCons are worse. If Tulsi is MAGA then I say, “Welcome aboard!”
She is MAGA in the sense that she is anti-intervention, anti-weirdos, and anti-establishment. She is not MAGA in her more traditional Democrat beliefs, such as her anti-self-defense stance. I'm not really sure what her opinion of the free market is.

MAGA has a lot of liberal positions b/c 1980-2000 had lots of liberal positions: protecting jobs with tariffs, for example. Freedom of expression in universities was another. Encouraging families with tax credits, etc. is also a liberal position. So is anti-monopoly, and anti-discrimination. Meritocracy is liberal. (Republicans are nepotists.) MAGA was Tier 2 feminism. (Women in the workforce but still traditional.) Though Trump isn’t for it, inheritance taxes were MAGA. MAGA worked b/c it was liberal traditionalism.

I think the problem is that it's not the liberal viewpoints she has is the problem, it's the socalists.

Progressivism is not liberalism. Democrats today are progressive (Post Modernism, egalitarianism, Marxism) not liberal. Hell, they’re illiberal.

Frankly, I feel the same way about a 35-yo taking advantage of a naive 18-yo.

Good post.

This is why I define myself as a Classic Liberal, and not a Conservative.
