My understanding is this originated over some presumed violation of documents Trump had that the National Archives wanted. Essentially it is the Librarian sending in the FBI to recover overdue books.

Don't let people paint this as anything other than a raid. Thirty agents, 9 hours, would not allow Trumps lawyers to observe, demanded the security cameras in Mara Lago be turned off.

GOP needs to make a constitutional crisis, threaten to stop participating and acknowledging the authority of the federal government if this turns out to be a political hit job. Basically say it’s over to the left - we’re not going to participate or acknowledge your authority anymore.

I was just thinking about this last night. States need to say we no longer recognize the authority of the FBI, and boot them out of their states. Reading through the Constitution, I see nowhere where it gives Congress the power to create an agency such as the FBI.

Yes there is, they passed an amendment back in the early 1900's to make it legal.
