As long as Russia is on the brink of war with the EU they will not be able to militarily support China. They don't have the means to fight a two front war.

Supposedly, only a quarter of their military is occupied with Ukraine. The biggest part is gathering in the East for "war games."

p.s. The bulk of the actual combat troops in Ukraine are militia. One of the big reasons to stop the Russian advance is b/c every city they take can't wait to form new battalions and continue westward. Russia grows stronger as the war goes on.

I guess, I just don't buy the Russian propaganda anymore than I buy the American/Ukrainian propaganda.

As we've watched this play out over 6 months, all I can say is the Russian propaganda is more accurate than the American/Ukrainian Propaganda. I mean, the Ghost of Kiev shooting down 40 aircraft in 10 days for Fucks Sake, the US Experts saying Russia would not be able to fight longer than 3 weeks, the constant droll of the next Wunderwaffen turning the tide.

It's clear that the Russians had a lot of missteps early one, but they have slowly chewed away at Ukraine, and will likely continue that. As most wars go, this is not what the experts predicted. It is a war of slow attrition, industrial warfare, massed artillery. Our big mistake is to view this through shock and awe, that's how the US fights, not Russia.

I told my wife today that I fear for our safety. No one I know will blame Biden or the Dems: they’ll come after MAGA people. It makes sense to them: if it wasn’t for MAGA, everything would be fine right now.

I encounter this logic every day.

I said to Gwynne, “Who do you see in this crowd who’s MAGA?”
It was all young people, fat women & Beta men.
“There will be a lot in the livestock area,” she told me.
“But how many of these attendees?” I insisted.
“None,” she admitted.

It’s a slow death - and there’s no way to stop it. I keep asking myself if perhaps I’m the zealot who fears leftism - the rest of the country keeps seeming to convert.
