pretty bad i got hit by a truck in a head-on collision going to work one morning, compound fracture i got two plates and a bunch of screws. like i said i'm back at work and i can compensate just fine but my grip strength isnt the same, also im having some hard and soft swelling along one of the plates that isnt improving. i'm looking to have that plate removed in a few months after the bones are fully healed, hopefully that helps with the swelling atleast

i'm not sure how common the swelling is, my orthopedic doctor is a bugwoman that cant seem to comprehend my questions about what it is and just offers to give me an arm splint over and over again.

hoping your wife makes a quick recovery!

i dont mean to say her's will never be the same or that it will be life-altering or anything but i really figured mine would be just as it was before within a few months and it just isn't. i feel like 95% normal but that last 5% is a pain in the ass sometimes. hopefully she didn't require surgery or anything else too serious, how is she doing?

damn. atleast she'll get a cool scar after surgery, i like my scars. thanks marty, hope shes doing well, where was the break, which bone? wtf was she doing lol

@gcf thanks man i did a bunch of art after the accident, fortunately i was able to draw almost normally again after a week or so. back at work now so all my fun times grinded to a halt lol

She was hiking up a mountain with my son that I didn’t want to go up because it was too dangerous. (Mt. Defiant) Near the top she snapped both her wrist bones in a fall and took 3.5 hrs. to get down and 1.5 hours to get to a hospital. Her fingers no longer had feeling and her hand was cold in the ER.
