U.S. home prices soared 19.8% year-over-year in February, the third highest monthly increase in the past 35 years, according to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller national home price index.

The rise dwarfs any of the price increases seen in the years leading up to the 2008 housing bust, in which the biggest 12-month jump was just 14.5%. It has some experts arguing the housing market is “skating close” to bubble territory.

I’m not so sure. The big investment firms have $trillions that need to land somewhere. Blackrock alone has $17 trillion (the U.S. budget is $20). Part of WEF is you’ll own nothing and be happy.

All the real property in the U.S. is $100 trillion and there’s 4-times that amount of imaginary money out there, $150 trillion held by the Top 1%.

Good point. Access to inventory could be forever limited for the peasants. They keep the prices high by limiting access to buy homes while at the same time increasing their stockpile.
