Here's a somber BBC story on young Soldiers, not kids by any means. They get 3 days training, and off they go.

Better than what they did in defense of Stalingrad during WWII... One got a rifle, one got ammo, neither most of the cases were given armor or helmets... that was all they were given, they were told to fight and die for their country or die by the officer behind them if they decided to retreat.

I guess. That fucking idiot apparently didn't know that Gonzalo has been on the move living in safe houses for the last few weeks. I am fairly certain that he doesn't know about the hit piece that the Daily Beast did on him nor the fact that the author of that piece contacted the Zelensky government to ask them (Read: alert them) of his presence in Kharkov. Mark Hay could be considered an accessory to murder, if in fact Mr. Lira is dead. But none of those things stop TC from weighing in with some sanctimonious bullshit.

I know some people say they "barely" pay attention to the "news". But I have really tried not to for years. Anyhow, I find it amusing and curious that all of a sudden for this particular conflict we have full-on propaganda for volunteers joining said Ukrainians. I don't ever recall this being a thing for any of the other notable wars except WWI and the Spanish Civil War. (*some people joined up with the British or French b/c the USA wasn't directly involved until 1917 etc.)
