Here is my problem, people tend to think this is a black and white issue, there is no real right side in this war. Too many people only see know of the current problems (last 10 years) When this has been brewing for almost 30+ years.

The problem is that we have old players playing the long game, and this is just now another move, albeit a strong one by a single player. This will not be their final move. Russia may lose this "battle" but unless the Russian machine is truly dismantled, they will always have another play.
This has brewing since Lenin.

There is a right side, it just depends on how one views the situation. I am against the globohomo agenda and support Russia's right to not have it as a neighbor. Ukraine is, and has been, a cesspool playground for the West. There is only one Steady Eddy in all of this and that is Putin. He has been saying it for years and now is the time for the accounting. We'll just have to see who is going to win out in the end.
It has been brewing since Lennon, but I gave it a 30(ish) year gap because of the agreement that Gorbachev signed when the Nuclear Disarmament of Ukraine was 1991 (31) years ago. That is when the power ball really moved... It was a slow crawl as per Russia's playbook until the fall of the Iron Curtain and the years after.

The problem I have is that when Russia "fell" the infrastructure was only mothballed, we never verified it was removed. We are still seeing the same playbook being used from when the USSR was in place. The only way that could happen is if the old system was removed from mothball...which right now it looks like it was as soon as Putin was put into power.

This has brewing since Lenin.
I was thinking about our long adversarial relationship with Russia today, over a hundred years now, starting with the Murmansk Expedition in 1918. Our barely workable alliance with the Soviets starting in 1940. Then into the Cold War.

I actually wonder if being adversarial to Russia is now baked in the Deep State.

I think Trump could have had us in bed together if the Deep State had let him: Russia is their foil to justify anything.

I'd say the opposite really, look at when Trump ran for President the first time. He said Russia was going to be a big problem in the future, the MSM and even the presidential candidates thought he was a joke.

Indeed. Just ask the likes of Victoria Nuland.

To me, that is the biggest reason that the Deep State was so dead against Trump. His willingness to realign with Russia, China and North Korea was an existential crisis for the neocons. It has been strange to see people that I thought were solid just rush to the Corporate Media narrative though. It has made me examine my own blind spots but my trusted circle just got that much smaller. Pretty soon it will be "Party of one? Your table is ready."

We could have had a good thing but alas. Long game is that those neocon fuckers aren't going to win. Petrodollar is no more. Sodom and Gomora are going to have to pay the piper. It will be rough for some, maybe #metoo, but possibly my grandkids, or their kids, will be birthed into a better more tenable place.

I’m hanging in there so that’s 2, and there’s the rest of us here so that’s 10: 3 more and we’ll have a baker’s dozen.
