I don't gamble in Vegas (or anywhere) but I would take equity over pay. (Most people wouldn't. Unions don't even allow it.)

In my case, I went the whole 9 yards and started my own business but if you're not up to that level of stress but still willing to take a risk, then equity. I've never worked for equity b/c I don't take orders well but my son has and he got rich.
