local civilians came upon a company's worth of Russian BMD-4's it looks like, just abandoned

the vehicles don't appear to be damaged, the Russians apparently just left them there and walked away

there have been other Russian vehicles found abandoned

but this is right in the middle of the main Russian effort at the gates of Kyiv

I've seen "Z", "V" & "O" marking Russian vehicles

apparently the letters indicate where the vehicle's unit deployed from

"Z" are units coming from directly over the Russian border

"V" are units which came from Belarus

just a guess on my part,

but "Z" could be for "Zapad" : West

"V" for "Vostok" : East

this is the Russian word for "south" : юг

it's pronounced "Yug", sounds like "Yoog"

so "O" would be the letter for "South" in Russian Cyrillic

Z is "Zapad" West

for Western Military District

O is "Yug" South

for Southern Military District

then V is "Belarus"

because the letter "B" in Russian is "V"

those are the three Russian commands that the vehicles would be part of

the Prime Minister's of Poland, Slovenia & the Czech Republic

took the train to Kyiv to meet personally with Zelensky today

so they obviously don't think the Russians are about to overrun Kyiv

and obviously the Russians have not even closed off access to the city
