the OSINT is starting to come trickling in now, two weeks after

reportedly, the Russians did think this was going to be a walkover

they have been reading their own press releases, believed that the Ukrainians would not fight

they truly convinced themselves that they would be welcomed as liberators

so they did not even plan for a war, they are not even organized for war

this is not even unitary formations operating in combined arms

they just started grabbing random units, smaller than battalion even, company sized units

which they sent on "thunder runs" hundreds of kilometers into Ukraine all on their own

thinking that would just scare the Ukrainians into surrendering

then the Russians would just drive to Kyiv and either arrest Zelensky or he would flee

then these random "thunder run" units then just out ran their supplies and had to stop

this then caused the Russians to panic and send these massive convoys of trucks in, all at once

and now they are just strung out all over the country in random units, not even working together

the chain of command is apparently in shock about what a disaster this is turning out to be

so they are who we thought they were,

but it is apparently even more absurd than we had guessed
