The West was teasing Ukraine about NATO induction which was a clear provocation to Russia. Can we agree on that?Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:30 am
well I think Zelensky is just trying to get a ceasefire
to save his civilians from being slaughtered
I don't see it as a concession
since there was never any offer on the table from NATO for Ukraine to join
Zlelensky cannot concede something which he never had in the first place

I don't really watch tv much any longer. If I am sitting around with my girlfriend and she wants to watch Schitt's Creek or something, that's about it. I don't really follow American politics much. I think it's mostly stupid, honestly.Haumana wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:17 amIt happened on the 6th for starters. The fact that you even referenced that is a tell. It comes off as you watch too much tv, Corporate TV at that. CNN down at the Y?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:08 amI dunno. I am detecting a lot of radicalization here since I've been away. I think SuburbanFarmer is one of those Jan 7 insurrectionists now. It's kind of weird coming back. Maybe from your perspective of being in this water the whole time it's been heating up to a boil it seems normal, but it feels like a scene in Life of Brian in here. Are we the Peoples Front of Judea or Judean Peoples Front?
Maybe you have been holed up with your weights too long getting swole worried about the pandemic?
Maybe you shouldn't be assuming that you can see anything from my perspective ?
That you don't see your own radicalization is another. Go back and read what you have written here since you came back.
The insurrection was pretty much peak stupid as far as I could tell. I was pretty surprised the government went so soft. The fact that those people are not already rotting in long sentences for actual insurrection and sedition charges says to me we are pretty well late stage republic. So I just focus on me right now. When people like that get violent again, if my country calls on me to uphold my oath against those animals, I will do it. Other than that, I don't really care.

nobody said Ukraine was joining NATO
the Russians were demanding some statement which said Ukraine would NEVER join NATO
Biden refused to state that
and then Putin launched an all out war of annihilation, preemptive aggressive war by definition

So that's kind of a yes. You already said that Ukraine has the potential (plutonium) for nukes. Potentially, they are NATO nukes which their stated goal is the demise of Russia.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:36 amthe Biden Administration was refusing to say that Ukraine would "never" join NATO

Different Question: There wasn't shelling going on in the Donbass and Donetsk by Ukrainian military?

Insurrection, sedition, animals, violent again...
Do you even know what the majority of the actual charges are against those people are?
Keep getting swole!

the Kremlin has no right to a Sphere of Influence, nor a Buffer Zone, nor anything like that
the Kremlin was only allowed to get away with shit,
because they didn't launch an all out war against the West
as to the shelling in the Donbass ?
both sides were shelling
that still doesn't justify the Russian actions, the Russian response is now exponentially disproportionate
the Ukrainians shelled Russian invaders
the Russians have responded by starting World War Three

Oh, ok. So, according to you, the 2nd most nuclear power is to be given no room to exist except with in their current box of borders. The West has the right to run up and delineate that box without any input from them?Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:54 amwell, to be clear, I give the Kremlin no rights at allHaumana wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:44 amSo that's kind of a yes. Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine
just to be clear
the Russian "Sphere of Influence"
their Near Abroad Buffer Zone
that is not a law
nowhere is that written
in fact it is in contravention of the law
it's just something Josef Stalin and the Bolsheviks invented
so I don't recognize Russia's right to interfere in Ukraine in the slightest
and now Russia has foolishly crossed the Rubicon,
they have provoked a war which they are going to lose
and I shed no tears for them, since they are the Soviet aggressor again, by their own actions
