Hiroshima had a population of 350,000 at the time of the first atomic bomb. 70,000 died directly, another 30,000 followed in a number of weeks. About a 3rd died from the bomb. We can all find scenarios in which we die immediately, no one needs help with that.

The positive thing is to want to survive and keep your family alive. That means learning, gaining skills, being prepared mentally, physically, spiritually and having the bare minimum tools to do that.

That's what this entire thread is about. Understanding world events are largely out of your control, but as the patriarch of the family what do you need to do improve yourself, to lead and provide for your family the best your can.

Seeing the dangers over the horizon, not being dependent on whether or not the government is fucking you over directly or indirectly.

1 kiloton (Think Heroshima or Nagasaki) had a total blast radius of about 21 miles. Today's nukes are 10 times that stronger on average, and if we are talking Russia, they aren't going to launch small nukes at the US.

Boston is 30 miles away from where I live, any nuke gets dropped on Boston, most of Mass, part of NH, and RI are going to be hammered.

Mass is a small state vs others, states like NY, MA, RI, Maine, etc will be wiped off the map.

So when I say that there is no survival, you have to realize that even after the bombs drop, you have nuclear fallout based on wind conditions, etc...

If anything they would hit California and other states on the west and possibly east coast and let the radiation and fallout run through the rest of the country and kill a lot of people off.
