like I said before, think of it as two operations

soon as I saw the Belarusian map, I could tell what the southern operation was

they are sealing Ukraine off from the Black Sea altogether

they are taking the entire southern coast all the way to Odessa

so that is already on the other side of the Dnieper, they are already taking West Ukraine in the south

it's all about Russian control of the Black Sea, that is where NATO is the threat, in the maritime enviroment

remember that the Russians don't fight like the US military does

the US military is all about speed

the Russians are all about methodical

the Russians will develop a front, defeat that objective, then methodically move on to the next

so they are going after their main objectives right now

but once those are taken, they will exploit from there

so right now the northwest of the country is not priority

that will fall if the Russians take all their main objectives
