the Russians intake conscripts as junior ranks on a 24 month tour

these kids are then managed by the professional contract soldier NCO's and the elite Commissioned Officers ,

all these guys are just "Privates", this is what the Russian army is like at the junior rank level

the Airborne, Naval Infantry & Spetsnaz are separate all volunteer elite forces

it's actually the Ukrainians who use T-64, the Soviet T-64 was always manufactured in Ukraine

the Russians are predominately using the T-72B3M built by Uralwagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil Russia

I would surmise that the Russians are holding their best T-90M's in reserve, in case they have to fight NATO

all Soviet 3rd Generation tanks are based on the same platform

T-64 was the original

but it was so expensive, they made a cheaper version

that is T-72

then they made a gas turbine powered version of T-64

that is T-80

then they made an upgraded version of T-72

that is T-90

understand that the Soviet / Russian Army is an Artillery Army

artillery is their arm of decision, all operations are centered on artillery

they don't place the same importance on main battle tanks as NATO does

Russian main battle tanks are meant to be cheap, plentiful, and modular

they don't rely on base armor like NATO tanks do

they are all about covering the tanks with blocks of Explosive Reactive Armor

they don't expect their tanks to last very long, they throw them into the meat grinder as expendable downrange

so they don't spend the same kind on money trying to make super tanks like NATO does

The video I watched, most of the vodka they were dumping didn’t even come from Russia. I guess all Slavs look alike.
