Re: Freedom Convoy
I do not think now is the time to flee Canada. Canada is far from lost, but if all those who value freedom do flee, it will be lost for sure. Now is the time to fight and provide for each other.

Re: Freedom Convoy
Trudeau is doing damage control. Evidently, his puppet masters told him to simmer down.

He's going to revoke the emergency powers declaration. Maybe he figured out he was going too hard too fast.

Looks that way unless there’s something I’m missing. The precedent is now set though. I think that was the purpose.Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:46 pmTrudeau is doing damage control. Evidently, his puppet masters told him to simmer down.

first of all, the protests were crushed without the act
the act was not passed until after the police assault on our rights
passing the act in the wake however, has set the precedent of martial law in response to peaceful assembly
they don't need the act to continue to hunt down and persecute people, that is ongoing
and they have achieved their aim, which was to terrorize people into submission

Re: Freedom Convoy
not to say they weren't feeling the heat
the widespread condemnation of course
but I personally called 15 Senators to beg them to vote the act down
and I get the impression that all the staff I spoke to were sympathetic
Trudeau didn't want to risk being shot down by the Senate
so he's withdrawing like a coiled snake to avoid that going on the public record

Re: Freedom Convoy
with the Emergencies Act lifted
I can pull back from the brink
but not to DEFCON 5
Just from DECFON 2
to holding at DEFCON 3
the Liberals are still running amok without using that act, they've got lots of other options to persecute people
