Interesting analysis

According to Prof CJ, the American revolution was fought and won by local militias using guerrilla tactics.

According to him, at the battle of Saratoga, (the battle that caused the French to recognise the rebellion and give aid), militia spent 3 days using hit and Run tactics on advancing British troops.

But more than that, it was an insurgency that won the war, Brits could only control the cities, as soon as they left an isolated town, Patriot insurgents would just reoccupy it.

Hey, thanks for reminding me of that series. I started it over last night.

It's true, average Americans fought and won that war. If it had been up to the 'Founding Fathers' there would have been no war. Remember, April 19th, 1775 the fight breaks out. Then they put Boston under siege and the Founding Fathers response is to send the Olive branch petition to the King begging forgiveness for the stupid rubes that fought the Red Coats. Only when the king, with a lot of pressure from Parliament told the powdered wigs in Philadelphia to pound sand did the Founding Fathers get on board. They had no choice.

We are kinda at that point today. We have no leaders, other than Trump, against the machine because the people with wealth and power have not become outcast themselves.

Prof CJ really takes it to Geo Washington. But I don't second guess him as much. The most important thing Washington did was keep the army together, even through Valley Forge. He had to be a tyrant to do it, but it was vitally important to ending up with a unified identity to form a nation moving forward.

The Guerilla campaigns in the south and the north really prevented a British Army victory. They were too busy with insurgents to pin down Washington and end him.
