Getting a 3D printer....

Post by The Conservative » Tue Feb 28, 2017 8:12 am

I am getting my hands on a unique 3D printer, one that doesn't have the normal constraints of a box. It uses an articulated arm and had a range of about 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet... it has a precision of .2mm as well, so almost good enough for military

It also comes with an engraver, a laser, and has the ability to learn how you do things, so in theory, it could be a signature machine as well.

I am going to be using this to print out some prototypes I have been working on by hand to make it more professional looking before going out and trying to pawn it off... it's theoretically accurate enough for military grade applications...

I'm also going to be using it to make some things for my son as well, toys for bath time, etc. As well as making a puzzle treasure chest for him for a birthday later on.

I just got to wait till it's finally released, it's the risk of buying version 1.0 of anything, but hell, I'll be happy if it can just do 3D printing... the other features are just extras I would like to have.

I will when I get it, and then of some stuff I'm making.

Next week I'll be making an activity board, so some of those things will be on there when I finally get it up.

Nice! 3D printing is fascinating to me and I can't wait until they're a staple in American homes.

I'm working on other things, like unpacking. Lol.

In also saving up enough to get a metal 3D printer.

I don't see them as a staple of American homes, maybe ever. I do think that every town will have 3-D printing business'. The local Auto Parts store will have one, Independent business and artists will love them.

The average person doesn't need one or make enough stuff to make it worthwhile.

Plans are supposed to hit the internet tomorrow for 3-D guns. There is a late push on to get a court injunction.
