Our press has already moved past Afghanistan and how we snuck out at night. That's not forgotten by Ukrainians or Putin for that matter. Plus they know he's weak and not really in control.

I'd also like to note that Croatia, a NATO member, made a big stand against this action and pulled their troops from NATO. The president of Croatia noted that we should consider the Russian perspective of having all these troops on its borders.
