Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine
Now what is also interesting to think about is how WWIII would be fought if it was kinetic.
The level of weapons from the US Civil War to WWI was huge and the generals thought that they knew how to wage that war. However they didn't exactly know what to do after the engagement started. While there were certainly major advances between WWI and WWII, they pale in comparison to the gap from WWII until now. If you want to make a comparison in advancements in military tech I would say we are in line with the gap from civil war to WWI but in all honesty it probably even greater than that.

Just for awareness, Intel has recently started building new chip factories in Arizona, and announced another factory to be built in Ohio. I think it is 2 plants in Arizona, but I'm not sure how many in Ohio.SilverEagle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 1:04 pmfocus on two things domestically, manufacturing semiconductors and manufacturing pharmaceuticals.

That is a great start but we still need to prevent China from taking Taiwan until those factories are up and running. We should strive to be the top semiconductor in the world.TheOneX wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 2:31 pmJust for awareness, Intel has recently started building new chip factories in Arizona, and announced another factory to be built in Ohio. I don't think we need to stop China from taking Taiwan. What do I care if Intel loses it's factory in Taiwan, they should have been building chips in America all along.SilverEagle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 4:05 pmThat is a great start but we still need to prevent China from taking Taiwan until those factories are up and running. Agreed but do you really think they’ll let those factories sit idle? We need chips, that’s why there are tens of thousands of new vehicles sitting in storage. They don’t have enough chips. It’s not a good strategic position that we are in, when they take Taiwan.C-Mag wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 6:27 pmI don't think we need to stop China from taking Taiwan. Russia pulled out their diplomats and staff from the Ukraine just hours ago.SilverEagle wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 6:37 pmI think at this point it’s more likely to go hot than not.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 6:52 pmVlad drawing a clear red line. One wonders why nato is pushing him.
