Seems like something easy to check: is that a real Twitter post or not?

It is, I followed the links in the article right to the official twitter page for the DC Homeland Security.

I can only imagine that a DC functionary was so unwilling to believe it, that it was dismissed out of hand. Afterall, how could that be happening with all the woke people in charge.

“Rib-eye steak” at MB. This used to be $12/lb not to long ago at its highest.

And Market Basket is not known to carry the best quality meats either.

Yellow is cheap, blue is mid range, black is “high quality”.

Wait til May. This is going to look dirt cheap.
SF is on point. Do Not Support the Big Slaughterhouses. They hate you and are just cheating you. Premium fattened beef is going for $1.40 a pound right now. I just bought two beef and they are hanging in my cooler.

Nah dude. Buy in bulk. Get a quarter beef, or a side. Stuff your freezer for the whole year.

Yeah, local market up here want $700 for ¼ of a cow. Not worth it.

Local place around here is boasting they have had the same price for the last 5 years $2 cheaper than the price shown above.

Local around here isn't like local near you. The average price for meat around here for local steak is $20-$30/lb, depending on the cut.

It's not common sense pricing.

They claim it's because it's grass-fed and humanity treated.

I call bullshit and they are now just being able to justify their prices by not having to raise their prices because of “meat shortages” elsewhere.

I said find a farmer. Not a market.

Do some googling for an outfit like this: https://daltonfarmsllc.com/index.html#/

$700 is about 3.50/lb. You’re getting a shit ton of meat for that.
