When the economic crash hits, there won't even be any competent leadership to fall back on. Every institution has been undermined: medicine, judiciary, media, business & certainly politics. I literally know of no one I would trust to take commands or advice from.

Yeah, just saw a short piece with Hugh Hewitt, Washington Post journalist. He read off all of Fauci's fuck up's, then asked him more or less if Fauci thought he should resign because he's doing more harm than good. Fauci said, No, I will not resign.

Thank Providence that Mayor Pete and lots of smart cookies in federal city are on top of the transportation scene.

Well, Pete may be technically on the "bottom," but anyway.

Yet somehow we're the ones taking it in the ass.

Everything I read says this trajectory is going to last a while. It's already being noticed in my household.

Certain items at the grocery store not being available. Things that used to ALWAYS be on the shelf are now lottery items.

Auto repair that was quoted at about $1000 in April now cost $1700 due to parts increases.

Those are just 2 examples. All of the price increases and shortages (which will lead to further increases) combined with what I expect will be the usual 2-3% wage increases will mean pain for anyone in the middle. The ignorant zoomers thinking everything is great because they can get $15 and hour and a signing bonus at Starbucks will eventually figure out they are in the same FU boat as the rest of us, but will probably just blame it on not enough of what we've been getting and call for more of it.
