I can lawfully shoot a home invader in Canada without the 2A
Sure, if you have a gun.
You can do it unlawfully too.
If you have a gun.

Shame Australians gave theirs up.

I'm not sure burning a village doesn't make you a tough guy.
If you take the contrarian position, it's difficult to think of any villages burned by women or weak men.

...at the very least they're tougher than the villagers, eh?
didn't turn out to be the case in Vietnam, it was the American will to burn the villages which broke

the weak Viet Cong simply planting booby traps ftw
American soldiers were definitely tougher than the villages they burned.
Assassins, poisoners, and ambushers generally aren't considered tough.
Toughness is generally rated by ones ability to go toe-to-toe with the adversary.
that's what the British said in the War of Independence

it's because they don't have their own constitution, they are still operating under the British law

in Canada however the constitution provides right to "security of the person" in self defence, since 1982

The British soldiers were tough.
We wouldn't have needed France's help if they were pushovers, we just would've marched directly over them.

Tough and effective are two different things.
Nukes aren't tough, but they're effective.
Snipers aren't tough, but they're effective.
MMA fighters, rodeo riders, and boxers are tough.

Articles like this (covering Aussies giving up their guns) make me think American Conservatives need another name.

We're not like the other conservatives of the west.

Ah bullshit.
Anyone who has been knocked around in a barfight and given back as much as they took is tough.
Tougher than most of "civilized" society that has never taken a fist to the face, or tasted blood in their mouth.

Even little weenies masked up in black and shouting Marxism are tough - if they stand their ground and swing back.
At least that's my take on it.

Which means - if you're walking through a damn village inhabited by men women and children, and burning that fucker to the ground - openly challenging anyone to come and stop you - you gotta be kinda tough.
You won't catch any Librarians doing that sort of work.

My sons are tough: they just need encouragement from older men to fight back.

Well, their daddy is a door-kicker and deadbeat-evicter - so I'm sure they'll have good guidance.
Cu you don't kick a door down unless you're ready for someone to come out and respond.

no, really, I'm a lover not a fighter

when I fight, it's compartmentalization, indoctrination from battleschool, I don't think, I simply react to contact, muscle memory

the adrenaline hits the blood, then the training takes over
