Planned DC protest next week + Biden dictates = bad shit for us
They've already got the barriers up around the Capitol.
They're hoping something kicks off so they can implement even more draconian measures to save everyone from "white supremacists" and insurrectionists.

Temperature is on the rise, and the political climate was already hot.
Not good.
Proud boys and oathkerpers will be there. So, they will get the images and talking points they want.

Vaccination status regardless, mandating the entire populace take a particular medication is not a power of the Executive Branch. If the president can simply say whatever, and that's the new "law", then we would have a king, not a representative.

The fact that 99% of Americans seem oblivious to this is concerning.
I keep asking folks I know "You realize that mass medicating the nation isn't one of the enumerated powers of the president, right?" - and I keep getting a lot of shrugs.
Shrugs that either mean "I don't know the powers of the executive", or shrugs that mean "I don't care".

... and yes, I know technically he's pushing it through the department of labor/OSHA, yadda, yadda, yadda - still doesn't matter. The Constitution is there folks. Read it. Those are the powers. If you can find anything in that document that says some bureaucratic, made up department, that comes later down the road has the powers to medicate the nation against their will, I'd love to see it.

Shut up Fife.
(got to get that in there preemptively before you hit me with another "muh Constitution")
Naw dog, all I got is white pills.

Well ... funny thing about the Constitution being ignored and rules not mattering ...

... that means rules won't matter for anybody.

And I don't think the left has quite thought that one through yet.

my wife is going to the football game tonight, at BMO Field down in the city

with her mom, her sister, her aunt & her niece

and my wife is back to going to the gym every day

the only lockdown was for my wife, but she has pretty much lifted that request fully now, she is out & about, no more social distancing

I can't stand sports anymore myself, as they've all gone Woke, so I have no interest in going to the football game

but she's making me supper before she leaves, so I'm happy to hang out here on the patio, watch the sunset then the stars, church of the big sky

Tim Pool is now convinced this is all by design
I agree with him on this.

If they push for things that give them move power and nobody pushes back, they win. They get the power and move on to the next power grab.
If they push for things that give them move power and people do push back, they win. Their accomplices in the media paint the pushback as dangerous and the elites use it as a way to grab more power.

Current view of states that said no.
That’s 22/50 for those keeping score at home.

This will be a short civil war.

But it's closer to the county election map, with lots of resistance in blue states too. Hell, they had to give an exemption to the Post Office.
It's a great talking point but it's fake news I'm afraid.

US Postal Service workers will have to get a COVID-19 vaccine or be tested weekly after President Biden mandated the shot for federal workers – despite an earlier report claiming the more than 600,000 letter-carriers and administrative staff were exempt.

The White House issued a clarification late Thursday after the Washington Post, citing an official, reported USPS workers were not required to get the shot and were only being “strongly encouraged” to do so.

yeah, there is no legal right to refuse the vaccine and keep your job

any employer can demand that you take the vaccine, or you're fired

pretty sure most people will comply in the end, the number of guys willing to be divorced & homeless in the street for Antivax is probably very small
