But it's closer to the county election map, with lots of resistance in blue states too. Hell, they had to give an exemption to the Post Office.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 7:14 amCurrent view of states that said no.
That’s 22/50 for those keeping score at home.
This will be a short civil war.

This is all beginning to smell like a trap.
Jan 6th, COVID mandates. They are openly daring people to revolt. Of course any revolt will be used an an excuse to clamp down harder. I'm actually surprised things have remained so peaceful to this point.
I got the vaccine and I'm fine with my decision, but it was just that, my decision. I am not ok with forcing everyone (well everyone except for illegals, UPPS, etc..) to get it. Not everyone who is vaccinated stands behind these mandates. I am ready to be vocal about that dissent as well.
I am so sick of all the lies and misinformation being put out by the same entities who claim they want to remove "misinformation". In his speech Biden said something to the effect of "get the vaccine so you don't put others as risk". We all know vaccinated can still get COVID and spread COVID. Get the vaccine if you feel it will *help* protect you. It will not protect those around you or give you some get out of COVID free pass.

Vaccination status regardless, mandating the entire populace take a particular medication is not a power of the Executive Branch. If the president can simply say whatever, and that's the new "law", then we would have a king, not a representative.
The fact that 99% of Americans seem oblivious to this is concerning.
I keep asking folks I know "You realize that mass medicating the nation isn't one of the enumerated powers of the president, right?" - and I keep getting a lot of shrugs.
Shrugs that either mean "I don't know the powers of the executive", or shrugs that mean "I don't care".
... and yes, I know technically he's pushing it through the department of labor/OSHA, yadda, yadda, yadda - still doesn't matter. The Constitution is there folks. Read it. Those are the powers. If you can find anything in that document that says some bureaucratic, made up department, that comes later down the road has the powers to medicate the nation against their will, I'd love to see it.
Shut up Fife.
(got to get that in there preemptively before you hit me with another "muh Constitution")

There was a parent I know that has my back, which is cool, hopefully, it will continue, but I lambasted them last night because they stated that the teachers feel they have to treat kids who aren't vaccinated differently than those who are. They insisted on keeping the mask mandate up, and saying that they "misspoke" when they said the teachers would treat people differently.C-Mag wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 7:31 amThe Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 7:30 amI went full out at my school board... they are letting the school union dictate policy.
I was having none of that shit... my son can't get vaccinated because he's six, and like hell, if I am going to let a teacher dictate how my son is taught because she's afraid...
I said, if a teacher is afraid to get a teacher in there that's not, and have the other retire or find another line of work. I also said that if this board is going to be dictated by the school union, they are failing at their job. Said a few other things, but I had a few people after the meeting reach out to me and thank me for being a voice of reason.
