I actually want to invest in the Freedom phone. There's a huge market for it.

I swear, all you'd have to do to win an election is to run on a digital bill of rights to protect 1st and 4th Amendment concerns.

Don't fall for the Freedom Phone scam. It's just an Umidigi A9 Pro, a Chinese smartphone available on AliExpress for $119, running a version of the abandoned FreedomOS. It's either a fraud or a honey pot.

If you want a degoogled Android phone, go for a GrapheneOS solution and stay clear of all apps from the tech giants like google, Facebook, Twitter, Tic Toc etc.

I'm not certain the advertising or the hit pieces on the Freedom phone are real. Still in a holding pattern, collecting information and waiting to see which way this falls. I'm leaning toward marketing ploy right now.

Rumble pulling away as the video platform of dissidents.

Rumble snags big names amidst massive growth
Glenn Greenwald, Tulsi Gabbard, Bridget Phetasy, Matt Orfalea, Siraj Hashmi, Mujahed Kobbe, Shant Mesrobian, and Zaid Jilani................. its burgeoning platform has seen a 25-fold increase in viewership over the past year, and that this trend of accelerated growth continues.

Regardless of political and ideological affiliation, however, what many Rumble creators have in common is either directly experiencing or standing up to censorship imposed on users and creators by Big Tech. Rumble said that despite their diverse backgrounds, the group of creators that has just been welcomed on the platform shares a “commitment to challenge the status quo, seek the truth, and share it.”

Commenting on his decision to join Rumble, Greenwald said that it provides a place where creators don’t have to worry about what he described as baseless attacks “by the government or other self-appointed gatekeepers.”

Rumble still not in the top 100 sites, but is closing fast.

Rumble is teaming up with Locals too, providing Locals with the infrastructure to do livestreaming. Locals is building something that is worth keeping an eye on as well.

Tech dudes, is this true ?
Image
The most consequential figures in the tech world are half guys like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates and half some guy named Ronald who maintains a Unix tool called ‘runk’ which stands for Ronald’s Universal Number Kounter and handles all math for every machine on Earth.

About 85% of the people elected to Congress have no idea how the internet works; have barely processed that the Soviet Union fell in the ’80s; are likely wearing depends underneath their suits; cant understand the economy because as far as they know, you can still ride the trolley for a nickel so long as you had an onion on your belt, and oversaw the last three economic collapses and learned nothing beyond there are no consequences to them and zeroes mean nothing. Aren’t we lucky to be represented by such towering heroes?

Terrifyingly true. The modern world depends on excel sheet formulas that nobody can understand.

I come across puzzling, baffling, poorly written code all the time. I've written puzzling and baffling code for various reasons. Everyone adds on to awful code, you can't just rewrite everything everytime you see it. And it goes on forever. I imagine, or least like to think, that in other fields, its different, that its better, but maybe I'm deluding myself. It's kind of a miracle anything works at all.
