and these guys could be living right next door to you as we speak

Might be because one could extrapolate the after effects of a sea change and predict more direct consequences than a 50 year old problem that isn’t going anywhere. I dunno.

It's IS-K. Islamic State Khorasan. ISIS is Islamic State In Syria.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 7:29 aman ISIS splinter group, the K stands for Khorasan, the ISIS name for Afghanistan
they are the Jihadists who are based in Kabul mostly
it's like the Taliban are a Pashtun militia from the south, and they are rural, locally focused
then there is the ISIS Jihadis who are have infiltrated the cities, and they are internationally focused
ISIS-K is not a large group, they're tiny compared to the Taliban, but they have the hardcore Jihadi suicide bombers
ISIS-K can't actually dominate the terrain, the Taliban control the countryside
so ISIS-K moved into the cities, to operate with NATO as cover, they moved into the NATO protected areas and blended in
Khorasan is more than Afghanistan. It's an old name for a region going back to the Muslim conquest. It was later split into three regions but IS-K claims all three parts.
It's easy to see on the map why they have few friends. It's one more death cult going for all or nothing.

I'll defer to you on this, like I say, I haven't been paying close attention to it since my regiment pulled out in 2014Hastur wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 2:17 pmIt's IS-K. Islamic State Khorasan. Oh I agree for the most part. ISIS K desperately need us to stay and we can’t indulge them.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 12:41 pmthey only way some ISIS-K fucker is gonna make it to America, is if the Woke Pentagon brings him to youclubgop wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 12:38 pmISIS K is small, they can’t do anything. This is their last gasp. Can’t have a mission statement of implementing an Islamic state than fight the group that is implementing said Islamic state.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 12:34 pmI don't see the Taliban as being a threat to America
let them have the Kabul airport, I was never going to be using it anyways
as for ISIS-K, the Taliban will be fighting a counterinsurgency against them before too long
if there is a target of opportunity, strike from the sea with the 5th Fleet
George Kennan's Containment with air & seapower, mostly drones
they are infiltrated into the population, these people being evacuated to safety are lousy with ISIS-K no doubt
just cut the rope, get the fuck out of there, then bomb the shit out of them from standoff range as necessary

Hardly. I’ve posted more interesting content in a weekend than you ever have.StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 2:18 pmand yet I see Smitty extrapolating thoroughly on bothSuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 1:56 pmMight be because one could extrapolate the after effects of a sea change and predict more direct consequences than a 50 year old problem that isn’t going anywhere. I use links to inform the group, and stimulate conversation. Most often, it’s tamped down by the Bipolar Batman and Robin duo. Sometimes one of the other posters picks up the ball though, and interesting discussion ensues.
Cest la vie.

at which point I cut them lose, I am not bound to defend nor support this treasonous chain of command
I feel for the families of the troops that ISIS killed
but those troops chose to serve the Devil, I can't save them from themselves
ISIS-K is killing whoever the CIA-DNC axis is putting in the kill zone for the purposes
I gotta wash my hands of this now, it's all Deep State grifting, I just turn away in disgust

Re: The Era of Biden
They've said it out loud in a lot of speeches. The biggest threat is domestic terrorism. Not BLM or ANTIFA, but White supremacy groups and the militia movement.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 2:31 pmlike I say, the Woke Pentagon has literally invoked you as an enemyclubgop wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 2:24 pmOh I agree for the most part.
