at the end of the day, this is what the troops sign up for

particularly Paratroopers & Marines

if they are worth their salt, they want to deploy, they want to get in a tactical engagement

they want a dynamic engagement, not a plodding occupation

they want high risk operations at the tip of the spear

they're not victims of anything, it's an all volunteer professional force

No, Americans were an accident (a happy accident to them), they wanted to cause an explosion to take out those who they believed were against them and helping the US military for the last 20 years. This explosion would cause delays and those left at the Airport and in Afghanistan would be free to take out as they wished once the 31st came around.
