Well, there was some hope of interesting discussion/debate, but I see that you're back into a sullen mood. I suppose we'll all wait for it to pass.
I can get that anywhere
if you have something interesting to say, go ahead and say it

Re: The Era of Biden
I might find it slightly interesting that the disaster in Afghanistan is being used as a distraction
and how effective that has been
it's almost like they created the disaster on purpose, to distract from domestic issues
because Biden is not really going to pay a price for the Disaster
it's not like any Democrat is going to punish Biden for this by voting Republican
I don't think Independents will move on it neither
everybody wants out of Afghanistan
nobody has really paid any attention to it for years now
but it's the perfect distraction to deflect from the real failings of the Democrats at home
it's basically the CIA / DNC narrative that Glen Greenwald invoked, this is what they do
or like Tucker Carlson said
70,000 Americans died of overdoses, but all Washington talks about is the plight of foreigners in Kabul

the most striking thing when I see reports from street level in America, is the tent cities
I mean, the homelessness is starting to look kind of Great Depression like
it's the Silent Depression
and it's the only thing that Washington never talks about
talk about anything other than Depression going on in the background
I don't even get what the Democrats plan here is
this surely is not going to put the populism down
like if Trump runs again, I think he could win, because he's the only one who cares about the economy
it's quite stunning how the Coastal Elites have completely abandoned the economy
and yet somehow they think they can rule by force & intimidation forevermore, like it's the USSR
that is slightly interesting, that they seem to believe it is viable long term to rule by force alone
like there is no plan B, there is only going to be force in the face of populism
that doesn't seem viable to me, but it's interesting that they seem quite confident about it
maybe I'm just old, thinking of an America of yore, expecting blowback
maybe the elites know what they are doing and they are right about being able to rule like the USSR

not so much that the Democrats won't be thrown out
but just that you can't get anything other than career technocratic politicians to replace them
like I cannot think of who would replace Trump, there isn't another Trump waiting in the wings
and Trump is just a patch, he's not really a long term solution
I don't see who is going to be the next populist who can pull a Trump to get past the gatekeepers
not to mention that anybody else I come up with is sure to cuck once they get to Washington
Trump is so singular, what other politician in the world would be willing to take that kind of pounding ?
you can say the elites are delusional, but are they really ?
because they seem to be winning actually, they seem to be able to get away with literally anything
even if there is a short term backlash, the elites appear to be winning the long game

Carlus, Religion and the Taliban - the reason for my optimism
There's a new religion in town, Social Justice via Marxism. I'm a barbarian, and I don't cotton to new religions much. I'm good with my old gods, Yahweh, Mary and Jesus. The Saints and the Ten Commandments. I see this new religion as alien and ridiculous.
My gods are rooted in thousands of years of tradition and built a culture of Liberty that is to be cherished. This new religion is rooted in Marxism, with the threat of death if you don't abide the latest rules. The new religion has taken over my country. They preach worship of the university, kneeling before other races, bowing to gender benders, living lies and calling it science. I won't do it. Sure I'll play along silently, the high nail always gets hammered first. But I'm not a believer and I won't do it.
In the last couple weeks we saw Afghanistan implode, with the bulk of the residents of that land choosing the Taliban over the new religion. Likewise, I see myself in the Afghan people. We have both seen the rise of the Social Justice religion in the last couple decades, and we've both seen this new religion pressed on us. For the global, coastal and academic elites Afghanistan was a playground. They were able to dictate all their policies, they dictated a number of women and minorities that their congress must have, they celebrated the first woman mayor, they promoted pedophiles and bachi boys while prosecuting the redneck American Soldier that wouldn't stand for pre-pubescent boys being raped. Afghanistan was great for them, they could do anything they wanted, and they did.
After 20 years of nation and culture building the Elites were absolutely shocked when it all imploded in two weeks. As soon as they were gone, as soon as the money dried up, as soon as the threat of violence from the military ended, people said Fuck That, I won't do it. My old life was preferable to your degenerate religion. And the Elites are shocked, they are stunned, they are lashing out at senile Joe because he was at the helm.
Which brings me back to me and my relationship with the Taliban/Trump. I was never a fan of the Taliban or Billionaire Trump, but both are preferable to the new religion. Trump and the Taliban are synonymous to the Elites, we are all backwards barbarians because we won't change, we won't accept their new religion. Much in the same way we chose Trump, the Afghans chose the Taliban.
In 2001-2002 shock and awe hit the Afghans, they chased off the Taliban and took control of all the institutions. But the Taliban didn't die, they fought on where they could and waited out the corrupt rule to die under the weight of their false assertions, the lies of their religion, watching as they pushed the culture further and further into craziness and red pilling the average Afghan to choosing the Taliban over Social Justice. We were hit with Shock and Awe with COVID in 2020, we were largely paralyzed and we tried to read the lay of the land. But things are already changing.
In 2021 people are rejecting the new religion, no longer going along, it's happening at school boards, at city council meetings, and in homes. Trump(the Taliban) may be more popular than ever. The new religion is flailing, dealing with their loss in Afghanistan while simultaneously tightening the screws on Americans and continuing to attempt to force us into the new religion.
I firmly believe our faith in the old gods, the old ways, will win vs the new religion, because the new religion is based in lies. The Taliban has showed us the way. They largely won Afghanistan without firing a shot, or very little. And I believe their retribution on collaborators is harsh and will continue to be harsh, but that is war. We will see those days in our lives, I'm not looking forward to it.
We will win in the end. Afghanistan has shown having control of all the institutions is not enough when your religion is based in lies. Stay the course. The old gods are true, the old ways are the old ways because it is the way humans were designed to live. Male dominance hierarchy, Liberty, Merit. Those things will always matter.
They only control all the institutions, and that is not enough, the Taliban has proved that.

Re: The Era of Biden
I keep coming back to this list. It covers everything we see.
https://twitter.com/ZubyMusic/status/14 ... 798656819320 Things I've Learned (Or Had Confirmed) About Humanity During The 'Pandemic' (THREAD):
1/ Most people would rather be in the majority, than be right.
2/ At least 20% of the population has strong authoritarian tendencies, which will emerge under the right conditions.
3/ Fear of death is only rivalled by the fear of social disapproval. The latter could be stronger.
4/ Propaganda is just as effective in the modern day as it was 100 years ago. Access to limitless information has not made the average person any wiser.
5/ Anything and everything can and will be politicised by the media, government, and those who trust them.
6/ Many politicians and large corporations will gladly sacrifice human lives if it is conducive to their political and financial aspirations.
7/ Most people believe the government acts in the best interests of the people. Even many who are vocal critics of the government.
8/ Once they have made up their mind, most people would rather to commit to being wrong, than admit they were wrong.
9/ Humans can be trained and conditioned quickly and relatively easily to significantly alter their behaviours - for better or worse.
10/ When sufficiently frightened, most people will not only accept authoritarianism, but demand it.
11/ People who are dismissed as 'conspiracy theorists' are often well researched and simply ahead of the mainstream narrative.
12/ Most people value safety and security more than freedom and liberty, even if said 'safety' is merely an illusion.
13/ Hedonic adaptation occurs in both directions, and once inertia sets in, it is difficult to get people back to 'normal'.
14/ A significant % of people thoroughly enjoy being subjugated.
15/ 'The Science' has evolved into a secular pseudo-religion for millions of people in the West. This religion has little to do with science itself.
16/ Most people care more about looking like they are doing the right thing, rather than actually doing the right thing.
17/ Politics, the media, science, and the healthcare industries are all corrupt, to varying degrees. Scientists and doctors can be bought as easily as politicians.
18/ If you make people comfortable enough, they will not revolt. You can keep millions docile as you strip their rights, by giving them money, food, and entertainment.
19/ Modern people are overly complacent and lack vigilance when it comes to defending their own freedoms from government overreach.
20/ It's easier to fool a person than to convince them that they have been fooled.
Bonus thought:
21/ Most people are fairly compassionate and have good intentions (this is good)
