Well let me tell you how worthless they are. All the way back nearly 10k years ago all the best farmland was settled already. The ones that didn't know how to farm yet coveted the productive land and invaded it in successive waves for thousands of years. This left behind what I would call, genetic refuse.

and they have Pakistan as a base to operate from

the Northern Alliance on the other hand never really was an army

at the end of the day, Bush Cheney backed the wrong side in Afghanistan
