that's another thing that makes him creepy

like Michael is a completely obsequious toadie

Michael agrees with everything I say, Michael fawns over me, he's just sucking up to me non stop

so again, it creeps you out when somebody is such an obseqious crony as Michael

and I think this is where the dispute came from

I think he must have thought he had some right to come to my place, quid pro quo for his toadying

but actually it was Michael's toadying which was making me think twice

he just kept insisting he was going to fly out and visit me

at first I gave him the gentle hint, like maybe not such a good idea with the lockdowns

that just made him more insistent, like he was going to defy the virus to come and party with me

at first I said my wife is probably not going to want visitors right now

but he just kept insisting, until I said honestly my wife is afraid of the virus, so you can't come

and then Michael turned on a dime, he went from toadie to nasty, mean, dishonest

so I did get angry, I did tell him off, and then he hung up on me

I didn't think it was part of some "breakdown" he was having, he didn't seem like that

he was lucid, going on about why he quit his job and what he was going to do next

he was talking shit, like obvious bullshit was obvious, but I just went along with it, whatever, Michael

he seemed quite happy until I told him my wife didn't want him to come, then he lashed out

but not like insane, just like a creepy asshole lying little shit

I honestly saw the whole "breakdown" thing after as an act, I didn't buy it, it was just Michael being Michael

but Michael's toadying and creepy stalker behaviour is what caused the situation
