I'm afraid it is you who are confused, on both counts. Consider a few simple truths:

* Your lifestyle requires a certain level of productivity to sustain it. You do not create that productivity, as you've mentioned others are providing your shelter, others provide your healthcare, and others probably provide numerous additional benefits we know nothing about.

* Since you don't create the productivity needed to sustain your lifestyle, others must "worship mammon" in excess - to not only cover the costs of their own lives, but to also cover the costs of the Montes who are not producing in equilibrium to what they consume.

* This means your carbon footprint, unlike those sustaining themselves, is actually 100% unnecessary. It's additional carbon that wouldn't exist at all, if the "mammon worshippers" could simply produce in equilibrium to what they consume - without the additional burden of having to produce extra for those consuming more than they produce.

So I'm actually in better standing with Gaia, because the planet is used to lifeforms producing and consuming to sustain themselves. Gaia just isn't used to unsustainable lifeforms being artificially supported by driving the productive members of the species to excess. It take a lot of nerve for you to cast aspersions at "mammon worshippers", when it's your own over-consumptive, under-productive lifestyle that drives your neighbors into the demon's factories. Yet if others weren't putting in the production you are shirking - your carbon footprint wouldn't be here at all, would it?
