What's the excuse for no one watching Basketball or Football or Star Wars

The last few Star Wars movies sucked... Basketball is Woke, and BLM circle Jerk, and Football has become just as bad.

I haven't watched the last two since they started taking a knee and opening their mouths thinking that they are oppressed.

sports media is just the tip of the iceberg

I've dropped all the media at once, and since I did, it's been smooth sailing

the further I get away from it, the better I feel, so I just keep going, towards the sunlit uplands

Never got into hockey because I never knew anyone into it.
Now the handful of Canadians I know that were in to it - hate it.
So - back to square one.
Still don't know anyone into hockey - and I'm not watching it by myself for myself.

I was raised on the Toronto Maple Leafs like mother's milk

so I hung with them as long as I could

but I can't follow them where there are going now, it's a bridge too far

My family was a sports family, Baseball, football, hockey, soccer, boxing, all of it. We watched the Olympics, we cheered our teams and country every chance we got. Even when knew they would get their asses handed to them. (Patriots vs the Bears 1985, with "Frigerator" Willam Perry, where it took nearly the entire defense line of the Patriots to take him down.

We had crackers, hard salami, cheese, and I even got to drink some of my father's beer back then. (one of the few times he wasn't in a bad mood was during sports)

We watched the Red Sox when they sucked, we cheered for them when they were hopelessly outplayed.

The same with all the other teams, the kids today don't remember what it means to lose as much anymore...

I digress...

It wasn't until the mid 90's that things really started to change, and regretfully they have progressed ever since.
