the slope is real

Gramsci and Marcuse know

cultural hegemony is the goal to be achieved through repressive tolerance

that has been the radical left's MO for decades

making a religion out of the Hegelian dialectic

that has become critical theory

they will only compromise temporarily to gain concessions from their opposition

and then immediately move the goalposts to extract further concessions

they are bad faith actors that cannot be reasoned with

no matter how much they protest to the contrary, they are gaslighting

the slippery slope argument is a fallacy

fallacy simply means it is not proof, it doesn't mean it is not true

but the actual decline is in the elite classes

the Neoliberal project has failed, now they need a divide & conquer strategy, so they are adopting the Woke

Let's all take a second and appreciate the 10.0 landing Capps stuck on this one.

Apparently she was doing US the faor, by flying to the Olympics to quit.
How dare we believe our athletes owe us anything.

Welp - time to just stop sending punks to the Olympics I guess.
"Not owing" is a two way street.

She was doing you a favour by devoting her life to bringing the USA glory in the form of gold.
She's the most successful US gymnast ever.
But yeah participation trophies and shit. Gotta keep them culture war fires burning.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

If I'm completely ambivalent as to whether she's given the opportunity to represent the nation or not - how is she doing me the favor?

She didn't bring any glory these games, despite what your handlers are feeding you.

She helped win a silver medal.
That's the trouble with calling 2nd place ''the first of the losers'', you forget to acknowledge what an achievement it is.

How big is your trophy cabinet?
