Hey ... maybe if we stop the rich from passing their wealth to their heirs, and instead trust the government (yes that same government that has us more than a year of GDP in debt) to 'fairly' use the confiscated money - more chickens will magically appear.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:09 pmAnother motivation is to make Covid look more serious, to cover for the fact that they destroyed the world for nothing.

don’t ever accuse me of trusting the government.DBTrek wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:13 pmHey ... maybe if we stop the rich from passing their wealth to their heirs, and instead trust the government (yes that same government that has us more than a year of GDP in debt) to 'fairly' use the confiscated money - more chickens will magically appear.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:09 pmAnother motivation is to make Covid look more serious, to cover for the fact that they destroyed the world for nothing.

I just proposed a law that would make the elderly disperse their excess wealth before death.

Oh, I don't doubt they are playing the COVID price hike blame game right now... but the fact is they also did it to themselves... and I agree, want to have wings, grow them yourself...C-Mag wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:07 pmI'm not doubting they killed some chickens, I'm doubting that there truly is a US shortage of chicken being produced. I'm telling you that they are using COVID as a fucking excuse to up their profits. The Conservative wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 12:53 pmhttps://www.usatoday.com/story/money/20 ... 988115001/
WILMINGTON, Del. – One of Delaware's chicken companies says the coronavirus outbreak has hit their staffing levels so hard that they cannot keep up with production.
How would you explain record Chicken Exports in 2020 ? https://www.thepoultrysite.com/news/202 ... e-pandemic
That's right, record exports on chicken, but JaDaveon and LaQuicia can't git no muthafuckin wings up in this place
I'll tell you whats going on here, we are bailing out China. China killed most of it's hogs because of a swine flue epidemic in their herds, plus the floods devastated their crops. China has a shortage of food and meat and are buying everything up. American corporate chicken producers like Tyson are more than happy to send your wings to China. The price will go up in the US, and you will get to subsidize shitty livestock management practices in China.
Don't know what to tell you guys. You want wings, grow your own fucking wings.

UBI will make sense when AI and robotics get advanced enough when there literally is not enough jobs for everyone, but it was always going to be stupid before that happens. Maybe you could institute a much smaller UBI, like $100 a month just to create the infrastructure, but you can't make it pay enough that people would choose to not work.

Just got a letter from the IRS saying that they're sending me half of the Child Tax Credit for 2021 in advance.
Along with another reminder that our wonderful stimulus laws are the reason.
