I don't know your age, but on youtube, you can watch some videos of high school in the 90s. Sometimes it fees like 200 years ago. I would like to watch those videos of kids in the 70s.GloryofGreece wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 9:54 pmhttps://rustyvignettespodcast.libsyn.com/reflections

If I remember right the village on Happy People was established when the commies dropped off some people in the 70s by helicopter and told them to trap furs.
Great documentary though. Seems like it could be a fun way to live.

Also the channel you're referring to, I believe, is called Primitive Technology and that guy is pretty cool.
Also, check out the channel Erik Grankvist. I think you'd dig it. He builds a log cabin out in the woods with hand tools. It's pretty amazing.

Was the Reflections episode worthwhile? It's hard for me to gage these things. I got drunk too early ( wine) got tired woke back up and decided to record. I wonder what my personality seems like to people that don't know me lol. Talking about 70s counter culture one minute , Paul Simon , movies and then ending it cynically all in one episode.

Well, see, at first I was like, this podcast is kinda all over the place (thematically). I mean, you said as much, but I just roll with it now. It's like those late night drunk conversations with a friend. Except I'm just listening. Maybe its cus you have interests and concerns that align with mine, but yeah, I liked it.
Also, you've seen like a million movies and I dont watch a lot, often cus I'm paralyzed by the sheer amount of choices, so it's been good to have an editor do the picking for me.
