I am a little concerned that all of the talk about temporary supply chain disruption is being used as a way to obfuscate the connection of inflation to printing money hand-over-fist.
Your Masters are not concerned about inflation and printing money.

Anyone believing official inflation numbers should really reconsider where they're putting their faith.
How much USD was printed last year?
Was global and domestic productivity up or down during the pandemic?
Was global and domestic demand up or down during the pandemic?
2% My ass.
You have considerably more money (23%-34% more USD in 2020 alone).
You have considerably fewer products.
Demand has probably remained about the same.
Those factors don't add up to 2% inflation without a lot of mathematical obfuscation and wizardry.

All official numbers are massaged to benefit those in power.
My contention is that we are seeing a combination of supply chain shortages and inflation at the same time. There are numerous reasons for this. The bottom line is faults in the systems are stacking up, and creating one big damn problem. Smitty mentioned the timber tarriffs. That was cool for the US with DJT at the helm pushing for more US timber production. But enter POTUS Greenscreen and climate fuckery and now we have a country who's not producing a product, but taxing the shit out of imports, coupled with a housing boom, and shortage of workers.
Result price per Square Foot for home construction went from approx $100 / sf to over $200/sf.

It's not just a pipeline. There was a growing fuel shortage before colonial went down, and small supply chain disruptions in various areas. Globalism is dying and it's taking cheap foreign goods and quick delivery with it.

there is an Asian wood beetle killing the trees off here, there is a shortage of Canadian lumber
Canadian lumber is required to keep prices down in the American market
with a serious shortage, plus lumber being shipped to Asia, plus a tariff, it's no wonder lumber prices are so high
