indeed, I don't fear the Canadian military, it is broken beyond repair, they couldn't impose martial law

the militarized civilian police are used for imposing martial law, the military is totally impotent

the only power the US military had was honor, they were the only trusted and respected institution

people would have obeyed them simply on those grounds

but now that they have thrown that aside, they have no power, people would not obey them now

I can't think of a reason why the military should be any different from any other part of the federal state.

It used to be an entity that would be one of the final stalwarts of keeping the government stable... if SHTF the military would make sure that the people were protected... now... I don't trust anyone but myself to keep my own ass out of the fire.
