Canada took our nose
You know that game people sometimes play with kids where they pinch their nose between middle and index finger, then pull the hand back and slide their thumb between the fingers saying "I got your nose"?
Well, I got a package from Canada today. From a part of Canada I've never heard of, which ... to be fair .. is about 90% of that country. Anyway, this package came from Rothesay, NB. What's NB? Apparently Canada has a New Brunswick, and maybe an old one too, who knows? My curiousity got the best of me tho, so I decided to look up where the heck Rothesay is, and here's what I found.
See that red circle? That's Rothesay ... and as the red underline indicates, it's in New Brunswick.
But you see all those names underlined in blue?
THAT'S AMERICA!
What the hell? How did Canada get what looks like half of Maine?
That's some bullshit.
Canada stole our nose.

We should just grab it, like Crimea.
Just a quick little occupation.
Zip-bang!
We're here, what's up, you're America, we're taking our nose back? Wanna fight? No? Cool. Welcome.
I bet most of the people in NB speak American.
They're probably misplaced Americans.

Re: Canada took our nose
How embarrassing. . . we gave that shit up while the Canadians were losing to fucking bears. The Aroostook War (sometimes called the Pork and Beans War[1]) was a military and civilian-involved confrontation in 1838–1839 between the United States and the United Kingdom over the international boundary between the British colony of New Brunswick and the U.S. state of Maine. Two Canadian militiamen were injured by black bears before top-level diplomats from the U.S. and Britain met in Washington and forged a peaceful compromise. The Webster–Ashburton Treaty of 1842 settled the border along the line it still holds today. The term "war" was rhetorical; local militia units were called out but never engaged in actual combat. The event is best described as an international incident.
We should've just waited them out and let the wildlife winnow their numbers down.
Who was running things on our side of that conflict?
Fire that ass.

well of course I have spent some time with American troops in New Brunswick, training at Camp Gagetown
and their assessment of New Brunswick was the same as my assessment of New Brunswick
which is that New Brunswick is a swampy mosquito infested hellhole

What a weird place to exist.
It's clearly Maine, man.
But I guess we got some glass beads for it or something.
"The U.S. federal government agreed to pay the states of Maine and Massachusetts $150,000 each for the loss of the lands of their states and for expenses incurred during the time Maine's armed civil posse administered the truce period."
$150k for half of Maine.
That's a deal, man ... even if it has mosquitos.

Nouveau Brunswick is the armpit which America didn't want
it's like 30% French, the Americans didn't want those Papist Frenchies in the Republic
