Weren’t you guys just defending F35 a couple weeks ago, when I called it out as an obvious pork project?

F-35 makes the A-10 and F-16 better
and criticizing the F-35 for things which are true of all it's competitors is just silly
everything is an obvious pork project, you still need to buy one of them, there is no better alternative
the arguments against America buying the F-35 are the same arguments as those saying capitalism should be abandoned because it isn't perfect too
it's still least shitty option, so be careful what you wish for

F-35 Derangement Syndrome is the same as any other derangement syndromeStCapps wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 4:02 pmF-35 makes the A-10 and F-16 better

the media obviously doesn't care about the particulars
all they know is that if they post F-35DS, they get clicks, so F-35 is all they talk about

Re: F35 vs. A10?
for example, by far and away, the worst program of them all is DDG-1000
$22.5 billion spent on ships which are totally useless
they are not even Kludges, they might as well be scrapped at this point
but it's not as clickbait as F-35, F-35 is the internets favourite military clickbait
whole careers have literally been made just by cherry picking clickbait about F-35

Re: F35 vs. A10?
We already ‘bought it’ with billions in subsidies. And then billions more to discover that the thing has little military use, and fails to keep our pilots conscious.
I’m sure it’ll all be worth it tho. Because shareholders

whatever, it's not like your taxes actually pay for the F-35, so no suffer no actual loss related to it

It’s just another factor of many in our Collapse I suppose. From that vantage, we’d have been much better off building bridges, or pipes, or literally anything.

MIC spending is high quality; better than infrastructure, and better than Welfare by far. We’ll build another plane with imaginary money and keep all those high quality folks employed.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 4:58 pmIt’s just another factor of many in our Collapse I suppose.
